A better 7-Eleven

7-Eleven is extremely popular in Asia, in both Hong Kong and Macau, you can easily find them in almost every block.

But in Taiwan, 7-Eleven is taken to a totally different new level, in 7-Eleven, not only you can find things you can see in its US siblings, such as water, milk, juice, instand noodle, coke, magazines, clippers, etc. but also you can find something that are not easily found anywhere, some really local food, like hard boild eggs, 茶叶蛋 (tea-marinated eggs), 粽子,饭团 (steamed rice ball), 面线 (thin noodle soup), steamed buns.

This is the 7-Eleven in Taipei railway station. In the morning rush hour, I really enjoyed my 1/2 hour before taking my train towards Tainan (台南), people buy quick breakfast, milk and newspaper.
